Scammed, but got the wrong magazine in the end?

I also was scammed by this company. There were two young men who claimed to be from a local college earning points to go on a trip. I thought, why not, and got a subscription to Cosmo magazine. Paid $50 and the check was cashed right away, however, after the 120 days there was no magazine! I called and called the customer service number, with no answer!

This was in August. This past week, I recieved three Shape magazines in the mail, randomly. I did not order them, so I did some digging. I soon found out that this company finally placed an order for me, for Shape magazine (the wrong magazine of course) but at least it is something for my money!

I reasearched this company soon after I realized it was a scam (like in the 120 days later period) and there was NOTHING about this company anywhere, no magazines had ever HEARD of them. Now, they have a website? I am totally confused, are they trying to all of a sudden be legit now?
