False claims, questionable "contract", unable to reach costumer service SCAM

Shops, Products, Services

As an educated person I am embarrassed by the fact that I was scammed. Called with an "offer" from a buyer for approx. $28,000 for my timeshare in Florida. Asked tons of questions. (How did you get my info? How do you make money? Etc.) Looked at Better Bureau report and it seemed legit so I gave them my credit card info to put up front fees of approx. $1600. I was told by a Mathew that it was "guaranteed to sell." The next day I called to cancel but after 3 people talked with me assuring that there was a buyer I went with it. I've called 14 times and left messages. Nobody has ever called me back. Also, I have called and spoke with a male who told me he was leaving at 4:41 on a Friday though they clearly state they are open until 5PM. I refused to get off the phone until he gave me something. He claimed he would get my info and to call back in 10 min. What choice do I have? So I call back in 10 minutes and I am hung up on - twice. Then when I call back a 3rd time nobody answers.
The wording of their contract states that timeshares "usually" sell within 3 months. This now seems like questionable wording and I would like to pursue legal action against this company. The word "usually" indicates a common experience. Statistically speaking to me that means more than 50% of the time. If their records do not indicate that they sell timeshares within 3 months, which I'm guessing if they actually do get sales it is signficantly less than than 50% then it would seem that they are misleading the clients. This to me would be grounds for a lawsuit. If anyone else who has been scammed by this company would like to join me in this legal endeavour I would appreciate the support. This company should not be doing business.
