Fraud, calling to lie about a possible buyer - someone needs to stop this! Orlando florida

I was called on Saturday, 3/8/07, by a gentleman named "Rick" from M & R Marketing asking if I still wanted to sell my timeshare in Gatlinburg, I told him, "Yes, I do, but cannot put out money out front, I already have my timeshare listed with 4 other companies." He explained to me that is now how he makes his money. He gets a commission from the finance company and is NOT paid until the financing is approved. I told him of course I wanted to sell it. He said he would call me back. After 3 or 4 minutes, he called me back and told me that he did have a buyer and they were looking at a golf property in Orlando but would rather have this one in Gatlinburg because the interest rate is so much better than the other golf resort.

This gentleman is a golfer and is really interested and he said, "how does $16,000.00" sound to you, I said, "it sounds great, but I will take $10,000 or even less, I just want it GONE!" He said do not tell the people that you want $10,000, tell them $16,000. I agreed. He said, "let me talk to the buyer and I will call you right back." He hung up and called me back and told me "yes, the buyer was definately interested and how do I want the cashier's check to be made out." I gave him the spelling of my name and he proceeds by telling me, "how do you want to pay the $1300." I told him I was NOT paying $1300 unless I knew for positive that we had a buyer. He said, you do have a buyer, I promise you do, just PLEASE listen to me, I am telling you the truth and I will even give you my cell number, trust me!" I asked him who the buyer was and he told me "Shultz." I gave the phone to my husband so my husband could talk to him, my husband told him, if you get the buyer to call and talk to us, then we will agree if we know for sure that he is buying the timeshare. He said he is buying it and asked again for the $1300.

Again, we told him no. He said he had a contract and if the Mr. Shultz did not buy the property in 10 days, we would be refunded of our money. We had ten days to do so. I told him to fax a copy of the contract stating such to my work and I would look at it Monday, he said that Monday was too late, that he has someone right there now, wanting to buy and we may lose this deal. I told him to have Mr. Shultz call me. After few minutes, "RICK" called back to tell me to be expecting a call. After 4 minutes, my phone rang from a PRIVATE NUMBER and he told me his name, Owan Shultz, gave me his address and gave me his phone number and told me he wanted to by the property and was very interested and was asking me questions. I asked him "why" did you call me from a private number and he said, "I don't know. They just put me in a room and gave me this phone." I told him about the timeshare and he said, "yes, that is the one I want. I definately want it." I then told him to give me five minutes and have RICK call me back.

During this time I called the number that was given to me by RICK and asked to speak to Owan Shutlz. Mr. Shutlz, was an elderly man, who lives in Kansas and was nowhere near the resort or near Global. He had no idea what I was talking about. He said he had a timeshare that he may have just taken a loss from because he was getting rid of his himself. He has never heard of global and was not interested in my timeshare and was nowhere near orlando, florida. I apologized for calling him and told him what Global was doing and how they are using his name and address. I felt so sorry for this elderly man. VERY Sorry! After that, I waited for RICK to call me back. When he called me back, I told him that he had lied, I could not believe how they can take advantage of the trusting and elderly. I told him this is NOT the first time this has happened and told him I talked to Mr. Shutlz and he was not buying any timeshare. Rick hung up on me. I tried to call him back and Global back and they would NOT answer the phone.

When I was interested in selling or wanting to talk to someone, they would answer immediately. Rick even gave me his cell number and I have called that several times to no avail. To put this in a nutshell, RICK had one of the employees at Global to call me and pretend they were "Owan Shultz." How sick can this be? This is too sick for anyone to have to go through. I have 4 phone calls from this marketing place. When I called back, I asked him at one point if he had heard of Global Timeshares and he said, "yes, I know them." When I heard someone else in the background answer the phone, they answered it Global. The address for Global is the same address that RICK gave me for this marketing place. What is going on?

How can this continue? I am asking anyone who can to please put a stop to this, you can use my name, my phone records, anything that you need from me to stop this. If I had NOT called Mr. Shutlz, then I would have been scammed and when I tried to get my money back, I am sure they would not have given me a refund. I am asking anyone who can to PLEASE put a stop to this. You are talking about people who live from one paycheck to another, some live on social security. These sales people at this establishment will flat lie to get your business and then laugh in your face. There is no other reason for it. I am totally disgusted. I spent an entire Saturday, after the loss of my grandmother this past Wednesday, thinking ONCE AGAIN, that my timeshare was sold.

Is there a stop to this anywhere? Please help the helpless! Global you are sick, m & r marketing, you are sick, rick you are sick and whoever you put on the phone to lie is sick. I pray to our dear lord that you pay for what you are doing. At one point i was contacted by global about sending pictures of myself and that would help the man "dwayne" to sell the property and here it is, still going on? Someone, please stop this nonsense. I am sick and tired of it and ready to pursue any type of claims that i possibly can to get this stopped.
