My recently widowed mother had placed a phone order to Johnny Appleseeds and as I was helping her with her bills, she noticed a charge for something called My Classic Living. Since there is nothing wrong with her mind, she was wondering what had been ordered. My daughter hopped on the internet and found several reports of THIS VERY SAME THING! Apparently, without your knowledge or consent, Appleseeds will give your credit information out to Encore Marketing. All THEY do is charge your card every month without any goods or services being exchanged.
I called Appleseeds and talked to Alan, and I was told that she signed up for this online. Remember that I said it was a phone order? He then offered for me to talk to a supervisor and after 30 seconds came back on the line (I was not allowed to talk to a suspervisor) and proceeded to give me a WRONG NUMBER for Encore Marketing. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Needless to say, we will no longer be ordering from Johnny Appleseeds and will inform everyone we know to do the same. Do these people kick puppies too???
One would think a company that has been around this long would not be engaging in scams.
