I answered an ad for changeyourlife.org and was told that I would be hired as an intern (editor). After a month the position would turn paid. Was given info on a Ari Hinnant and after looking at her website thought she was reputable as a 'self-help' guru. After red flags began popping up everywhere - from not citing her sources, plagarism on her behalf, etc... I began to look a bit more into this person.

She claims that she is on a global tour and will promote each book edited by you on her 'tour'. This tour never happened and has since been changed four times to my knowledge. I found a press release dating back to 2001 when she was claiming to launch her 'global tour'. She claims she has 'created' millions of jobs for people by publishing (self-published e-books) her books - 'How to Sell 100,000 Books', How to become a Rent Locator, How to start a Modeling Agency, etc... She also claimed she founded three separate charities all helping homeless children. However, when those were contacted they had never heard of her.

Myself and another editor signed contracts stating that we would receive. 50 per book sold (that we had edited) for the next 3 years. Promised as well that these books were best sellers and would reach 250,000 books sold. I had also signed a contract to 'sell' her books and told I'd receive 50% on all sales. No tracking system was in place - we all went on her 'word' that nothing sold, she hadn't uploaded them onto Amazon, too busy, etc...

On any blog radio interview she states the same b.S. Over and over. Claims she's a millionaire and on this 'global tour' where she'll travel 5 countries, the entire time marketing our books and our services, and that she was simply living life with little material possessions. Fast forward a few weeks and her entire site has changed focus, no longer helping homeless children, changed her press release, now she says she'll be donating 250,000 books to shelters, prisons, etc... Oh, yes and she'll be personally handing Oprah a million dollar check ON her show by 2010. As of this posting, her website now has deleted her last name so when her name Ari Hinnant is searched it won't come up a scam.

At first, she was presented to me (and the other editor) as a self help motivator - booking large convention centers to hold her seminars. There was a list of upcoming events thru 2010 and now those have ALL been taken down from her site. They were claimed to be FREE events but when you went to book your tickets it would tell you they were $15 or $25 each and prompt you to pay with cash.

All of her merchant accounts are flagged. She requires anyone to pay CASH by a money gram - all her books are over $50 (they used to be 7.95). She even has 'emergency sessions to unblock your financial situations' for $1500. Again, has to be paid in CASH.

There are thousands, if not millions, of very broke and depressed people these days and all are looking for a way out of their debt. She claims to cure it all with the purchase of her books, her sessions, etc... She does have close to a million followers and all of her testimonials are all from gmail. Accounts.

After I tweeted about her another person contacted me and told me they thought the same things - that she was a scammer - due to the fact that her twitter page and facebook accounts all have spam like messages...'Make $5,390 in 8 days'... Always crazy numbers being thrown around.

This lady (if she is even a woman) needs to be put out of business. The world has suffered enough in the economic hell we've been sucked into - we don't need a fake parading around claiming she'll help us and promise us millions. I realize she's one of many but getting her offline will save countless families their money and pride.
