November I gave a $650.00 deposit to Valentin Philippens of Connect Construction Services, llc for work to be started in October. He had done some work in the past that was satisfactory.

I have filed a report with the BBB and as of this date there has been no response. I have left messages and sent e-mails since February again, with not a word. This job consisted of building 4 doors to fit existing shelves in a bedroom for a total of $1,659.00. He later offered a $300.00 discount for not showing on the day he had scheduled. Have not heard from him since I gave him the deposit in November.

He was complaining about "hard times" when I spoke with him in November so I gave him the benefit of the doubt until May of this year. I was still willing to give him work during these "hard times" which, it appears, he has no interested.

Philippens was networking and I think it is important that people be aware of his practices. Bottom line, I could use this deposit money to pay my health insurance.
