Ogden KJ Mechanical installing copper wire. Workman put foot through ceiling...$200 repair. They kept $500 already given to them. No remorse—no conscience. This was deliberate and refused to repay

KJ Mecanical—Kevin!!! During this time of economic downturn and decreased construction, I can only hope that this company and this man do not get contracts. They were hired by yet another unscrupulous contracter who stole. KJ Mechanical was careful enough to ask for money ahead of time to finish simple copper installation at the end of the work project. (They had already installed the furnace and airconditioner for the main floor). There was a $500 account balance left but we only asked for a compensation for a workman who put his foot through the ceiling. We were there. This was deliberate but they knew they already had our money.
I would warn the public that the $200 repair could happen to you if you pay any money up front. We would have been better off to take our loss and hire someone else without the deposit and we would have come out ahead. The public needs to know. We had fired the contracter but guess the "business is fraught" with theives. (See Gary Lucas, contracter)
