Rip-off! This contractor charged eight thousand dollars of work on a leak that wasn't fixed and lied on the estimate work that was never done

My mother had a leak in her house. The insuranse co. Sent an adjuster out took pictures he sent his choice of contractor out to repair the leak. They never repaired the leak and charged her close to eight thousand dollars worth of work that was never done. She had asked for a copy of the estimate which they kept blowing her off for four weeks.

When she recieved the copy, she about died. They lied about work that was never done at all and she still has the leak. She called her insurance co. To them they are ripping them off and they told her it's between her and her contracter. She refuses to sign the check because the work was never done. Now they have an attorney sending her letters, not to mention the contracter threatend my mother. Can you help?
