Time Share Resale Scam

Shops, Products, Services

Signed a sales agreement in December after the usual pressure. My representative at the time was John Goldstein. He stated that he could sell my timeshare in 3 months and was very anxious to get my listing. As of today, July 17, the timeshare has not been sold. Numerous calls to find out what is going on to Mr. Goldstein have not been returned. I finally got tired of the run around and called his offices yesterday, 7/16/09, asking to speak to him. I was told he was not available (big surprise!!!). I asked to speak with his supervisor. I was transferred to "Paul". He would not give me his last name. When I voiced my displeasure with the lack of activity on my account and that I have not received return phone calls from Mr. Goldstein he stated that company policy had changed with the recent purchase of PPE to new ownership. I no longer had a dedicated account representative to speak with and that all sales representatives were marketing my property. I asked when this change in policy took effect and he stated as of 7/1/09, when PPE was purchased by 5 Star Resorts Marketing. I asked why current PPE clients were not notified of this change in policy and he informed me that they were not required to notify their customers of this type of policy change "by law". I stated that I didn't care about the law, but was angry about the lack of basic customer courtesy. He had no reply to this. I then told him that I was not happy about this change and was considering canceling my agreement. He said "OK" and hung up the phone. This is just another example of the many crooks that I have had the displeasure of running into when trying to sell my timeshare. They are worse than used car salesman (if thats possible). I intend to write to the Las Vegas BBB and file a formal complaint and to the president of 5 Star Resorts Marketing demanding return of my listing fees.
