I asked GroGreen to come out to give me a bid on my landscape to rid it of weeds. I specifically told them in an email that I want to sell my house and need a treatment to get rid of the weeds in a 30 to 45 day period. A person came out and explained to me what the service would do. Bottom line is he said it would work. About a week or two later I noticed more weeds in the yard so I assumed that they had not come out to do the work. I was pretty upset and in my mind said screw them. What's the sense in calling someone that doesn't do what they say. Do you call someone back that misses a job interview? Of course not, so I didn't call them back. About 45 days after the initial meeting I receive a bill. I threw it away because the work had not been performed. Thirty days later I receive another bill so I throw that one away. Another thirty days past and I emailed them and told them in a nice email that if the work was performed there were no results. I was basically insulted. I was told that they recommend 8 services versus one. Well if that's true why did you do the one treatment? I specifically stated I needed results to sell my house. The owners pawn off their problems to the technicians which is a cop out in my opinion. I was basically accused of dodging or making up what results had happen. I was told that I should have called. Why would I call someone that didn't show up in my opinion? Anyway the bottom line is I looked up the owners name and addresses and went by their personal houses. They own a company that is supposed to be making your yard look superior to your neighbors and their yards were average. As I did some research on the web I noticed lots of complaints. So I decided to add mine as well. They have a trend of taking peoples money and not doing service. Steer clear of this company at all cost. If the owners of the property dodge talking to a customer and pawn the complaint back to the technician they are low. The only reason I paid is because I didn't want the technician to be penalized when the owners make the program rules. I will do my best to get the word out on this company and I truly hope they either go out of business or the complaints finally help them to rethink how to treat their customers. It's not about the money in reality. I am accused of dodging a $64.00 bill when we live in $500k houses and drive $100k cars. Our electric bill is $1000 a month and they have the nerve to accuse us of dodging $64 or trying to get out of it. Why would a professional that makes more than six digits a year waste his time to avoid getting over on $64? I have owned a business for 19 years and I have never had one complaint on the internet or through the better business bureau. Probably the main reason is I talk to the people and if they are not happy with the service I either credit them for the amount owed or redo the job. This company cost me valuable time and put me in a position with their promises that my yard would be nice enough to list for sale and I was unable to do so. I am totally shocked that it has come to this and that the owners are so negligent in dealing with their company issues. Run from this company.
