Collection co.insisting that i was a liar

Received a phone call from omni mgt co trying to collect a bill that belongs to my son. My husband is sr. & my son is jr. They insisted that i, sr. Wife was jr. Wife. They said they knew for a fact that i was because my phone was listed in jr. Name, which i know for a fact that it is not. I repeatedly tried to tell them that jr. Did not live here and i was not his wife. They said they have my credit report in front of them and it proves it. I know for a fact that the credit reports on jr. & sr. Are mixed up and told her and said she was mixing it up too! She asked me if i knew that opening jr.'s mail was a federal offense and i could go to jail and i said i didn't know what she was talking about. She ask me if i like calling people names. I asked her to remove my phone # from their list that jr. Did not live here and do not call here again or i would contact an attorney.
Do these collection people have the right to harass and do this to people.
