Fingerhut, Swiss Colony, And Associates Finance (formally Kentucky Finance) ripoff, collection agency, garnishment and credit fraud ST Cloud, Monroe And Coppell

I received a collection notice from Northland Group wanting to settle an old Fingerhut account. I thought my wife or mother ordered something in my name in 1. My wife and mother denied doing this. So my wife insisted that I call and find out when this was ordered and what was ordered. So I did.

Northland wouldn't tell me anything because I wasnt "MRS." So then my wife called and they wouldnt tell her anything because this want her SS#. So she told them either they would tell me or her if they wanted this settled. So I had to call them back. Come to find out they let a girl I went out with one time and had a son by order $500.00 worth of merchandise. When she got the merchandise she had the address changed on the bill. I was getting ready to have my paychecks garnished because of this.

They need to start checking out the "MRS." in front of names and make sure it matches. Not only did she get merchandise from Fingerhut but also Swiss Colony (133.52) and borrowed $1800.00 from Associates Finance (collection agency is now saying I borrowed this money when i didnt even know they existed right below my house). My credit is ruined and I had to put monitoring alerts, credit alerts and credit fraud on my file. This looks bad on me.

I read one of your reports and I didnt know about the validation request. Thank you. Im mailing it out on Monday morning. I almost forgot, I do believe she got all this information thanks to the Bureau of Child Support Enforcement. They have my SS# on the statement she gets every month since 5/98. Guess when the fraud started, 6/98. Coincidence? I think not. (I wonder if I can sue them?)
