False promises consumer fraud ripoff

I signed up with MCI in Jan, per a phone solicitor. The plan I agreed to was. 5 cents a minute state to state. 14 cents a minute in state, and a $2.95 monthly fee. This program was a reward program where you would receive blockbuster rentals for signing up and for long distance use. My first bill came in at $16 for 8 minutes in phones calls. I called the company and told them I was billed the wrong amount I was told a credit would appear on my next bill.

I requested my blockbuster rentals as well I was told they are on the way. The next month I receive a bill for $28 a no long distance calls made. Once again I call them and dispute the bill, refusing to pay until they credit my accountn and bill me correctly, and by the way where are the blockbuster rentals. I was told they had no idea what promotion I was referring to and that I would be credited $4. I told him to go to his website and look under rewards there is the plan I am supposed to be under and $4 is what I owe not what I need to be credited. The next bill comes in at $32 I call my phone company and MCI and cancel all long distance service with them. I call them and wait on hold 45 minutes only to be disconneted during transfer.

I finally received another bill for $36 and called again. I spoke with someone who I think may have been to intelligent to work for them but he resolved the issue for the most part. My total charges for four months $8. They had me switched me to a plan that billed. 40 cents a minute.

I requested my blockbuster rewards and was told that since I canceled they could no longer issue them but if I would like to sign back up they would send them out immediately. This company is beyond belief. The only way they must stay in business is to rip off everyone on their bill and hope it doesnt get noticed.
