Nationwide Home Warranty
Stole money from me. Class Action suit is A MUST or they'll continue victimizing people

Shops, Products, Services

Purchased 1-year warranty 5/08.in 4/09 I noticed the amount of $388 pending in bank account, charged by Nationwide without notifying me in any way or receiving my authorization. I called and told them I had no wish to continue policy and wanted a refund. The rep, Michael Peterson, said he would give me a refund.

Weeks later, no refund. Called Nationwide: the rep who took the phone was aggressively rude, purposely interrupting me and speaking over me each time I spoke. He would not give his name (may have been Peterson all along) and would not transfer me to a real supervisor. He said he would not give me a refund and hung up on me. This amounts to theft.

They lied to my bank, saying I didn't request cancellation within their 3-day period.in fact, I called the very 1st day the charge was 'pending'.in the following weeks, they purposely disconnected my calls repeatedly and placed me on "endless hold." Eventually, one of their reps said I could fax in a statement saying I wished to cancel and accept their $50 cancellation fee and they would refund within 10 days. Due to my emotional exhaustion, I agreed. A month later, no refund and no answers from Nationwide. This company is much more a criminal organization than a reputable business.
