John Waybright Slumlord, cheap, dishonest, disrespectful Richmond Virginia

I rented from Waybright in July of at first everything seemed wonderful, he was very willing to help us sign the lease and get into an apartment. We were promised brand new sanded hardwood floors, fresh paint, and overall a clean apartment.

We moved in and nothing was cleaned, there was still a "happy birthday" banner hanging from the ceiling, there was food and drink still in the fridge, and the bathroom was a complete wreck.

Over our year there we had many issues with our landlord and our apartment, we had mold in one of the bed rooms that took Waybright 7 months to get rid of, in the meantime one of my roommates was out of his room and sleeping on the couch.

We literally had shit come out of our bathtub and bathroom sink. The water pressure in the shower would vary from great to poor in a matter of minutes. Somedays we had no hot water, other days we couldn't get the water to cool down.

All the radiators in the apartment were broken and would shoot streams of water out of them, which in my bedroom ruined several textbooks, and a computer.

At our location [lombardy] we had a homeless person living in the basement of the building he would "work" for waybright. He threatened us on a few occasions, and when we brought this up with management [John Waybright] he would inform us that he'd be fired and removed from the property, only to be back with in the next few weeks.

In your lease it says that heat is included, this is not true.in the times that i lived there oil was at an all time low, and we were still being charged heat because of the "rise in prices of barrels of oil".

DO NOT rent from this man, or this company, save your money and your time.

Being a full time student, working part time, and other extra-curricular activities, dealing with the apartment felt like another full time job.
