Tried to collect $1,298 up front to sell my timeshare florida

I was contacted by a noah indicating that he had an interested buyer for my timeshare. When i asked about his company he indicated that he had to get his manager to call me. Two days later, a ryan whittiker called and had a buyer. Of course requested $1,298 dollars up front for title and deed transfer. He requested credit card information to start the process. I inticated to him that i needed to research the company and he directed me to the bbb website.

He also indicated that theyused fidelity title company. I researched both. C rating on bbb and title co is a small outfit. He returned my call and i told him that i want to use my local escrow company and i would be glad to deposit the money with them. Once the sale is completed, they can get their $1,298. Mr. Whittiker indicated that is not how the co works, and my credit card company can guarantee me against fraud. I indicated to him that i wanted his offer in writing, with details of fees and told me he could not do that before i pay the $1,298."all the details will be on the contract."

I told him that i am an attorney and basic rules of contract are offer and acceptance. He gave me a verbal offer; i just want a written offer. He said that he did not care if i am an attorney or not, it is not their company policy to put the offer in writing. They take the $1,298, do a title and deed check, then send me the contract. I informed him that i do not provide my credit cared number to a person who randomly called me on the phone and would not give me a written offer. He hung up the phone. There is no reason that someone should not put an offer in writing! Red flag...
