Possible timeshare fraud West Palm Beach florida

Today I got a call from an individual from american marketing group who said they had buyers interested in my timeshare and asked if it was a single bedroom or two bedroom and if I had odd or even time. Afterwards he said he had someone interested and Steve got on the phone also saying he had an interested buyer and offer of $11,100.

Steve asked if I was interested in selling at that price and of course I was so he told me that he needed a credit card number for the fees of $1298.00 to sell it. I asked why he couldn't get the money from the sale and he told me that would be a double commision and against the law. I asked what the difference would be if he charged me before or after the sale and he told me that it had to do with fees associated with the sale. Steve then told me they guarantee the sale with in 120 days or they would refund the money. Steve said he would send the contract out and I would have four days to sign or decide I don't want to go through the sale. I asked Steve to send the contract out and I would look at it then call him and he told me he needed a credit card number to send the contract.

Agreeing and paying on a contract before even seeing it, are you nuts!!!

I told Steve I would call him back and he asked me why and I told him it was so I could research the company. Steve said that he had this buyer ready to go and was pushy about calling him back before the deal passes. Steve told me that when I was on the bbb web sight to call him and he would show me where they have a favorable rating. I could not find anything On the bbb regarding this company.

I have been through this years ago, been ripped off once before but this is the first time I have been offered a guarantee.

Thank you for those people that already posted up reports on this company, letting me know how fast they charge your card.

If there is anyone out there who knows of a legitimate company to sell time shares let me know. I don't know how or why it would be any different then selling a house where you don't pay any costs, until the sale and all costs come from the sale. I would really like to know.

I think this company is justing trying to say anything to charge 1298 to put a listing on the internet and hope it sells before the 120 days, they really do have a 120 day guarantee. I am not 100 percent sure of the email address but that is what I came up with in my research.
