Destiny Sales, Inc
Slick deceptive con job, similar pattern to that reported by "Susie"

Shops, Products, Services

A door-to-door solicition in Massachusetts by a very personable, humlbe guy claiming to be working with an organization "that gave people who had made bad life choices a change at success". He was a well-dressed minority in a rural area where a well-dressed minority stands outlike a sore thumb, so I gave him points for dedication:) His story was the same pattern as previously reported - magazine subscriptions which could be donated to, in this cae, Shriners Hospital. I was going thtough some midlife career angst, and he hit all of my middle-class guilt buttons perfectly, with a tale of drug rehabilitation, prison, being a devoted single father trying to rebuild his life and being redeemed by this opportunity, and walked away with a check for $82 dollars.

Unlike others, I neglected to canel it in time.in any event, the receipt I was given was a) illegible, and b) had no identifying number on it to use to cancel the transaction or to check on their website, so I assume it is indeed a scam, and no magazines will ever be delivered.

A very persistent and perceptive young man, could probably succeed in many legitimate activities. Oh well, a relatively cheap lesson in fraud and fallability, all things considered.
