Door-to-Door scam using teenagers!

My experience was typical of all the other reports listed here under the various Destiny Sales names. A black male teenager going by the name Hank Boldon approached me with a clipboard, claimed to be selling magazine subscriptions and had a list of other "neighbors" who had signed up. I bought a 2-year subscription to a magazine for my sister (the cheapest option) and gave him a check for $50. I tried calling Destiny Sales immediately, but the phone number was and has been since "temporarily out of service". My emails have also gone unanswered. The check was cashed the same day so I could even put a stop payment on it! It has been two months, and there has been no delivery of the magazine and no response from the company. This was the first (and only!) lesson I'll need to not deal with anyone going door-to-door.
