Beware they will not honor a claim without service records

Purchased a home warranty in February. Called in a claim for my washer in May. Technician came out determined it was transmission. Nationwide reviewed it, denied claim siting I needed service records. I obviously never needed to service this. They also denied a ceiling fan claim, said they don't cover fans on the porch.
I tried to cancel coverage, they said I can't I only had 3 days. They won't prorate or give me any of my money back. The girl on the phone claims she is the only manager, and that I should read my contract. I am just out of luck. This warranty was $600 for the year.
