Land America Home Warranty
Incompetent, rude, not prepared

I have a home warranty contract with Land America. I called to have my dishwasher, air conditioner, and pool valve fixed. The dishwasher man came out and ask me for tools (he had a few tool and alot of trash in his toolbox). He then took a wire brush to the heating element in the bottom of the dishwasher. He got water to run into the dishwasher one time and told me I had to turn on the hot water in my sink and after it became hot then turn on my dishwasher! I told him that was crazy. He then told me I did not know what I was talking about. He could not get water to run into the dishwasher again so he was going to order a part. When I reported him to the warranty company they dispatched out another repair man who lost the work order then yelled at me for not calling the warranty company back. The air conditioner man was great! In the mean time the pool pump shot sparks out and quit working. So that was dispatched to the pool man who had looked at the valve and kept in touch with me to let me know what was going on. The pool man let me know on a Tuesday that he would have everything fixed by Friday. The warranty company called me on Thursday and said they were getting a second opinion. Today is the following Monday and NOTHING has been done except the warranty company giving me a hard time. After I explanined to Land America that a pool can not sit without the water circulating I was told to put some "stuff" in the pool. The second opinion pool people can not come out for another week. As it stands now I have informed Land America that they will pay to have the pool cleaned when it turns green. This should not be this hard. They are happy to take your money but will not provide the service you pay for. I will be looking for another warranty company!
