Misrepresentation of services, non-existent customer service team, late delivery

I placed an order with SEND.com about 10 days before the item needed to arrive at its destination. I requested a delivery date, paid online and was charged in full immediately. SEND.com, however, did not ship the item. This was a birthday present and when the recipient did not call to thank me for the gift, I went back to make sure it had been delivered. The order was never processed even though I was charged.

I called several times, left a voicemail, sent e-mails, etc. No one responded. I was calling during business hours, as well, and no one ever answered. Then, about two weeks after my package was supposed to arrive at its destination, SEND.com e-mailed me a Fed-Ex tracking number for the package. Now, at this point, I did not want the item sent as it was for a birthday and because it never arrived I had to buy something new for the recipient. I had called many times to get a refund and they never responded and then, way past when the order should have arrived, they decide to randomly send it and keep my money without returning any calls/e-mails.

I reported the company to the Better Business Bureau who attempted to investigate the matter. SEND.com would not even return the multiple calls/e-mails of the BBB! I was then given the option by the BBB to take legal action. I would avoid using this company's "services" at all costs. Total scam.
