Ripoff price not accepted as advertised without purchase of warranty consumer fraud ripoff New York

On 04/28 early morning 9:00 AM EST... Placed order for a product. Received call from company to return their call about order. We needed to add on to order (typical and very poor business practice on firms advertising good (not great) pricing.

Called 04/28 and spoke to one of their salespeople. After telling him this was a additional camera, he still pushed us into purchasing a 5 year warranty on camera. Said order would be processed that afternoon. On 04/29, checked via internet, order status. Message: call 800 number. Reference order number. After calling, assured order was being processed. 04/30, checked again on internet to find order status. Message: call 800 number... Reference order number. Called and received voice system. Left message to cancel order.

Finally received a return call from salesperson saying order was processed and it takes a couple days to get into system. After informing him, he said to check first thing in morning. 04/30.. He now said it takes a little time to process orders. (Note: This only after I informed company to cancel order). As of this afternoon, still not posted on order status. We have no idea if we will ever receive item ordered or not. Thank goodness, it's not a priority for us.
