Chase bank did not honor the "$100 on us with free checking", instead took my money and ran

When I decided to open up a new checking account in March, I was very pleased to find out that there was a promotional offer for $100. I found the offer in my mailbox. Since it was the weekend, I went online (as the offer said to do if you can't go to the bank). I proceeded with all of the steps necessary on the offer, and since I wasn't able print out the signature card, I wrote the checking and savings account numbers down for a teller to get when I went to the bank on Monday. Guess what: No one was able to locate any of my information in their systems when I went to the bank on Monday, and no one was even able to locate any of my information through 5 different representatives I spoke with (including 2 online). Remember, in order to qualify for this promotion, you have to have a direct deposit. Well, if you've never had a checking account, then how would you know what Chase's account numbers are? Duh! And speaking of that, I had $125 taking out of my current checking account (this was required on the promotion, so one would think that this is a direct deposit!) however, no one knew where that money went as well too! I was livid, so what I did was, e-mail chase@abuse.com saying that I will report Chase to the Better Business Bureau and the State Attorney, if I don't get a response or update within 24 hours of where my money is. They had the money sent back to my checking accound within that time frame, however get this: Why didn't anyone knew where it was during the whole roundaround time? Good grief. Thought Chase was a good bank to go for, but I am so glad I have my other checking account. No wonder why they call them Chase. They take your money and run!
