Unfair billing california

Verizon wireless slams the unsuspecting comsumer with fees ie the premium text msg. That you inadvertantly sign up with online easily. (9.99) The cost is from a third party and billed to your account. If you pay for it automatically out of checking on a cc, it may take you months to figure out that the reason that you suddenly paying more is because of this. The stupid thing was this same thing happened a year or so ago, and I had all extras blocked so nothing could be added accidently. Oh well... I still went ahead and blocked anything again.

They also charge you late fees on your landline, but don't label it as so. It is added to your taxes portion. If you add up all the itemized fees it is short by 5.00. They don't want you to know, so you won't be as likely to ask for them back, if you are a good customer.

They will also have been known to have charged me for directory assistance, 1.50 that I never used more then once.

The DSL that I had a couple of years ago before I got wise to this shady business tatics was the total lack of reliability in the internet service, and the billing was horrible. It went all the way from 19.99 to 40.00 plus. But because I was not ignorant I thought that it had to be right, never accured to me that they would be so blatant. I had intentionly gotten a contract for 1 year at 19.99/yr. But was charged different.

Now I know better. Pay attention to the billing with Verizon. When you get the bill, don't just chuck it since it is automatic. They are not the same Verizon that you thought they were.
