Hurricane Guide Ad Ripoff

In May I was approached by Rich Desqin of the Florida Voice Times who was selling an ad in a Hurricane Guide that was scheduled to come out on June 10. The guide was supposed to be printed by the Florida Voice Times and distributed through all of the Publix grocery stores in Lee, Charlotte and Collier counties, according to Rich.

I purchased a quater page ad for $589.00 and waited. June 10th came and went with no giude. I went to my local Publix store on June 15th and asked the Assistant Store Manager about the Hurricane Guide and was told that he had never heard about any such guide.

I made repeated calls to Florida Voice Times and on June 28 received a Refund authorization form that I was supposed to sign and return. I was told that my refund would be paid "within thirty days upon receipt of this form".in September I began calling them again to inquire about my refund and was told by Rich Desqin tha the company was filing for bankruptcy and that I would be receiving information from their attorney within two weeks.

Here we are in March and not only have I not received my refund but I have not received any information from any attorney representing Florida Voice Times in a bankruptcy proceeding. This has to be against the law, is there anyone that can help?
