Bad business practice

I went in to the L.L. On Beltway 8 and WATTS. Minor York to purchase 10' of walnut move strip. The item was presented and that I requested the salesman "is that this 10' since I want precisely 10'" he explained yes but having a quizical look on his experience. Although I had been being rung up the Woman requested me just how long the move reel was and that I stated it is 10' but would you please calculate it since it must be-at least 10'. She returned to calculate it and returned and explained 10'. I get property and it is 9'8" that isn't 10'. I named them-and questioned when they might deliver the right dimension that we might purchase the additional toes if necessary but used to donot believe I ought to spend shipping. They stated client gives shipping actually on the error. Bad company.
