Inaccurate product pricing

I went into this store to purchase a case for my BlackBerry. The case I needed was on the shelft and it was properly labeled with the price showing $19.99. Price tag on the hook indicated "Black BlackBerry Case".
However, after taking it to the register I was told it was $29.99. I indicated to the manager that the price that was on the hook showed $19.99 and said that it must have been on the incorrect hook and that the computer is never wrong and what the computer says it costs is what I must pay if I want it.
I asked him where it should have been placed, so I could see the correct price and would then completely understand that it must have been misplaced. He was not able to show me. He took me to a completely unlabeled hook and said that it must go there.
I indicated to him that there were consumer protections against the register bringing up different prices than are labeled on the products. He said that I had two choices: buy it or don't buy it, but the computer is always right.
I guess in reality there is no way to enforce those consumer protections when a store manager just wants to be a jerk.
