Grants Danger Dastardly, devious, deceptive downright damnable

While searching for some grant writing and research info, for our non-profit organization, I came across a webste that offered a CD with grant writing and research info for just $2.95. Upon entering all my credit card info to purchase this $2.95 item, on Feb 4th I subsequently checked with my credit card company to see if my purchase had gone through. On February 19, my card had unauthorized charges of $58.61 not once, but three times. I immediately put a hold on my c/c now I am not able to use it.

I then called the internet company Grants Everyday AKA Grants Danger, (and probably several other names) and spoke to an employee of MyAnswering.com, evidently a third party call center employee. He stated he would send me a copy of the terms and conditions of the $2.95 purchase I made. Nowhere, was I informed I would be charged $58.61 once, let alone three times, additional fees for no services rendered. I have received nothing from this company other than $ 175.83 in unauthorized charges (fees) and $5.90 for CD's I never received. He also told me they would not refund any fees or charges as they have a no refunds policy.

This company needs to be investigated for what I believe to be deceptive, devious, dubious, and perhaps fraudelent interstate business practices. I am demanding a full refund of all charges to my credit card and have cancelled any and all transactions with them. I am about to file a complaint with our state attorney general and will seek federal investigators to go after them and shut them down. It is a business that stays just a few steps ahead of the law. Perhaps a cease and desist order will be necessary, but we believe we can get one very soon. It appears there are sufficient complaints regarding their shady practices so that the department of commerce will need to look into their business (es).
