Rebate Rip Off and Duplicate charge won't reverse the transaction and credit to my credit card

$50 Mail-In Rebate on the Cricket
Wireless Broadband USB Modem

1. I enclosed a photocopy of my sales receipt or order confirmation sheet
for the Wireless Broadband USB purchased.
2. I circled the purchase date.
3. The entire IMEI/proof-of-purchase label from the modem box.
I cut the entire label from the actual modem box.
4. Had written down Cricket account and ESN# on rebate form.

I followed the instruction to the teeth. I mailed it. Some time later, I checked on the status of my rebate which said:
"Error (s): The submission does not include an original UPC from a qualifying handset,
An original ESN from a qualifying wireless phone was not included with your submission".

How would that be possible? Handset? ESN wireless phone? Hellooooooo!!! The reason I mailed in was to receive a rebate for Wireless Broadband USB Modem!!! As advertised!!!

Also, a duplicate charge was made on my credit card. I contacted the merchant Cricket by phone to dispute the charge of $40 and requested that Cricket reverse the transaction and credit my credit card account in the funds of $40. The Cricket's male customer service verified the incorrect charge of $40 in 02/10 and agreed to refund me $40 and credit it back to my credit card account, but before he could do that, he asked for my credit card number and expiration date because he wanted to make sure that the refund be correctly credit it back to the same credit card. Ater I gave him my credit card number and expiration date, the male customer said: "It usually takes 24 to 48 hours to credit the amount."

In 02/13, when I did not receive the funds of $40 after 24 to 48 hours and after 4 business days, I contacted the merchant Cricket to verify the status of my refund. This time, the female customer answered the phone. The female customer was giving me hard time and twisting story around from understanding about me disputing the charge to about me calling to verify about my rebate.

She knew what I was talking about in the beginning, she was just trying to avoid my complaint.in the end, she asked for my credit number and expiration date. I got tired of giving out my credit card number, so I said to her why couldn't she just get it from the guy, who she worked with, I was talking to the other day. She said he worked at a different call center.

I got tired of exuses after excuses so I said to her that I wasn't going to give her my credit card number because I didn't want to be conned and didn't want my money to be stolen. She said she couldn't give me a refund if I didn't give her my credit number. I said I wasn't going to give it to her because I didn't want to be conned. I said bye and hung up the phone.

Let's not forget that I have recorded all of this conversation on tape. Yes!!! Just me and Cricket's customer services!!! Whoever wants to listen to this conversation I have it at home?!!!
