Unauthorized membership charge

Shops, Products, Services

After reporting a unrelated unauthorised charge on Bank of America website "myfraudprotection.com", within minutes my VISA card was charged $19.95 by IK9 Privacy Matters whom I have never heard of. I called Privacy Matters at 800-436-0817 and a recording asked for a membership number or credit card number used for membership. I entered the credit card number I was scammed on and the automated voice replied it was an invalid number.

There was no way to talk to a human being to dispute the charge. It's more than a coincidence that after reporting an unauthorised charge to a bank, a credit checking company charges me for an unsolicited membership.
