Waited Seven Months for a $50 Phone Rebate

I bought a cell phone from Verizon in June because of the $50 rebate. I sent in the forms the next day and waited.

After 4 weeks, I called to see where my $50 was. They said the never received it. I sent it again. I called again. They said they never received it. Then I faxed copies of everything. I called again. They said the never received it.

Then I faxed the paperwork every single day for a week. I also faxed it directly to the CEO of the wireless division and the CEO of the entire company. After a few days, the wireless division called me to say that they were on it.

The next day, the office of CEO of the entire company called to say they were working on it. I kept faxing. In February, seven months after my first request for a rebate, I finally got the $50. What would have happened if I wasn't so persistent?

Don't trust Verizon rebates.
