AT&T
Quoted a "Bundle Pack" contract rate and charged almost double the quoted rate

I switched phone and internet carriers from COX to AT&T after all of the advertised rates seemed so appealing at AT&T. It was a BAD decision. AT&T first couldn't even hook up my second phone line correctly.

Then they promised me $250 in rebate checks within the first 60 days. I first only received a $100 rebate and called. I was placed on hold for no less than 2 hrs. For my attempts to resolve the issue. Finally, I resorted to contacting the state attorney general's office and the public utility's commission. That got the ball rolling and some checks coming.

HOWEVER, AT&T never sent all the money in checks - they gave debit cards for part of it. Then, they said the quoted rate was a "promotional" rate only good for 6 months so they'd have to send a rebate on my bill. There is always an excuse of why they cannot meet their originally agreed upon rate.

They are so STUPID they think I won't notice them increasing the rate on my 3rd bill. I called, only to be placed on hold for 3 hrs... I am still holding. Now they are claiming rates have increased. I guess AT&T is above our country's laws and believes if you are placed on hold long enough they can put whatever dollar figure on the bill and you better pay it. Forget the contract - it is AT&T. Why can't we all just charge whatever we want and then not answer the phone when someone questions the price change? How very convenient!

I am again reporting them to the puc and attny. Gen.'s office. I am pulling the plug on my service tomorrow. Life is too short to constantly deal with liars and thieves. It should be called LT&C for Liars, Thieves and Criminals. I bet they wouldn't get so much business, but the name would be more fitting!
