I was Misled

I was contacted soon after opening my business by telephone. I agreed to meet with the representative from the company at my home. He led me to believe that once I paid an amount of over $200.00 the card machinee credit card machine was mine and the company would only collect a fee for servicing my clients when my clients used the machine for purchases.

When I closed my business I did not hear anything from this company. I did not know anything was on my credit profile with all 3 credit bureaus until I checked my credit standings. I also notice that there was a company named Metro Adjustment Bureau appearing. When I called Metro I was advised that they were collecting for Lease Finance. I informed them that both could not show open account and that one had to be deleted, closed or a zero balance. Both companies denied my request. I informed both companies that I was misled by the representative and that they could have the equipment back and they refused.

I have filed complaints with Kansas, California and Illinois Attorney General Offices, Fair Trade Commissioner and Illinois Better Business Bureau. All companies are investigating Lease Finance. Lease Finance has offered a $1600.00 settlement on a $2700.00 balance. I have refused because of being misled. I will pay them nothing. I kept my part of the deal now they think I will be stupid enough to give them another dime they are crazier then me to of trusted them.
