I have a non cancellable lease for creditcard machine

I have a non-cancellable lease with cit lease finance group.

I have tried to send the debit/credit card machine back to them a month after entering into contract.
The machine is brand new because i could never get my business off the ground.

I was informed by their representatives that i must pay for the equipment because of the contract.
I should have had at least 30 days to come out of the contract.
