In december I purchased a laptop and decided to try phone and internet services from them before I went elsewhere. I was informed that a $99.00 as well as a 29.95 install fee would be waived. Since it was the middle of the month I would recive my normal bill for Dec and within the week following the install I would recieve a second bill in december for the install for only $29.95 and a prorated price for the month untill my next bill {Dec17, date of install untill Jan 13} when then everything would be on one bill thereafter.

In december when I went on the internet to see my statment it said I owed $57.25 for december but the statement showed a total of $169.67. Naturally I assumed the $112.42 was the prorated ammount for the services I had just had added and at the beginning of January I paid the $57.25 for my bill and the $112.42 as two seperate payments figuring that took care of the prorated and bill completely. Expecting that as the salesman I spoke to my first bill would be $85.00-$90.00 for the first six months and thereafter $112-$115 a month.

When I called to ask what was the payment for $112.42 I was told three times that it was for the prorated services for the phone and internet activation and that the bill was fine. When I asked what the $72.38 was they said that was the prorated sevices showing up on the january bill as well as the $29.95. Added together it was only $102.88. That if it was supposed to be dues for serives added on Dec17. I figured the differance was tax.

But today 01/17 when I looked at my statement online it said I owed the $29.95 activatin fee as well as $72.38 for the prorated month of Dec17 to Jan 19 still. That the $112.42 I overpaid even though I paid what the statement said for the beginning of Jan. While the number may add up on paper the way they have it worded out for thier records I can't help but feel that they are not only overcharging me twice for the installation as well as for the phone sevices. Help please because this is a ripoff by a company taking advantage that if we want to watch tv anymore a cable service is needed after febuary17 and I feel the company is taking advantage of that fact
