False reports of positive drug test to DAC as reason for termination

Colonial Frgt is a back stabbing piece of junk company! When I got my CDL I sent out several applications and Colonial accepted me as a student driver. After going there taking all the test and finishing orientation I was sent home waiting on a trainer. After 2 weeks of waiting I went to another company. Got hired no problem, worked with this new company for more then a year with no problems. I had some family medical issues at home so I had to come off the road. After the home situation was resolved I began looking for another OTR job. To my surprise I can't get hired becasue these douche bags at Colonial have reported to DAC that I failed a pre-employment drug screen! Thats funny considering they never mentioned it to me and the company I went with after quitting them never mentioned seeing it on my report. But now everytime I put in an application I am told that insurance will not cover me if the "failure" is under something like 3 or 5 years old. WTF!
First off I do not do drugs! Secondly, how can a company get away with false information like this? This ruins a drivers life! Why do all the companies put so much stock in a flawed system also? It just doesn't make sense. I love driving and am very good at it so I don't want to give it up but what can I do? Can I have this taken off my DAC or what are my options? Any suggestions?
