Low balled bid, and then sent us bill 3 times the original quote

We sat with Mr Vilbig himself, and he told us the engineering plans would be $2,500. We go the first bill is was for $2,200. We thought life was good. Then we got the second bill for $2,200. We were blown away. He assigned one of his employees, who our first question was how did it get so much. He promised us a detailed invoice. We got one that said 12 hours engineering, and 5 hours assistance? Had no idea what we were being billed for. I asked and the assistant said he would get back to me. Nothing, I asked why it was so much several times, nothing.

Then we got another bill for over $2,200. Now this is a small parking lot, not some major building. Its to cement an existing parking lot, and put in a flume to drain water.

We are now up to $8,000. We paid them $5,000, at a time when our business is in its slow period (indoor baseball and softball, and its November and December). They started calling and harassing us, calling up to 3 times a day. Like we were dead beats. Now understand that the bill is not even 30 days past due. They then called up, and told our receptionist they were going to turn us into a collection agency, then called the next day and said they were going to file a lien on our property. I talked to the assistant, and wore him out. He told me this is their policy (to harass people)!!!

We had sent them $500.00 more, and I asked if he got the payment he said no, so they do not even check their mail. They just keep calling up and harassing you!

They are rip off artists, going after small business, and low balling the bid, and then racking up the charges. They chared me mileage and 2 hours for a meeting that took 5 minutes (city council meeting, we were approved in less than 5 minutes)
