In February I purchased a TMobile HotSpot day pass for $9.99 in California, where I live. I immediately closed the account.in October I noticed that TMobile had been charging my account $39.99 a month since July.
When I called, I was told that someone with access to my account information, including my credit card number, username, password, and answer to my security question—obviously a TMobile employee—had opened an account in my name in Arizona, where I don't live or travel to. I was told I would be refunded immediately. I also filed a fraud claim with my bank and closed my card.
Last week, I received a letter from my bank, informing me that the $159.96 that was provisionally refunded by the bank was going to be withdrawn because I had "signed a contract with the company, " authorizing the transactions.
I immediately called TMobile and was disconnected twice while holding for a supervisor. Finally, I was told that I would have to wait for one to call me back within 24 hours. I also sent an email, informing customer service that I would protest at one of there retail locations if my call was not returned. Guess what? Still waiting...
