Consumerinfo.com Unauthorized Subscription Renewal credit card charge

One year ago, in Jan I subscribed to the credit monitoring service, for ONE year only. When I checked my credit card statement for the month of January I found a renewal subscription charge from CIC, which was NOT authorized at all.

I am in the process of trying to get the charge reversed.

This was complete fraud on their part. They have no right to automatically renew an online subscription unless it is authorized. All online subscriptions that I know of notify you that your services have expired and ask whether or not you want to renew eg McAfee and Norton.
