Classmates.com
Classmates automatic subscription renewal and use of my credit card information without my authorization California

Internet & Web

I signed up for a 3 month subscription of classmates.com's "Gold membership program" which allows me to view all information on their net site regarding fellow classmates from high school. After the 3 month subscription period had expired I was automatically charged another 3 month subscription on my credit card I used for the first three month subscription. I never authorized this company to apply any automatic renewal procedures nor did I authorize them to keep my credit card information or to use that credit card information again to charge me for any additional services. Each 3 month subscription costs $15.00. I was never notified that another 3 month subscription had been charged. I discovered the charge on my credit card when the monthly statement arrived in the mail.

I don't understand how this company can do this without legally breaking the law.in searching their net site again I was unable to find any contact information to file a complaint. I was able to go to my account information and delete my credit card information but I really can't be confident that this deletion of my credit card information really worked.

All people visiting this site should beware and stay away. Once you sign up for anything it appears you're at their mercy. They are truly a rip-off and are only interested in stealing your money.
