Ripoff the business that doesnt give a dam

I have been a customer of RAC for just about 2 years. I have paid my bill on time, and paid off a computer.

After the computer was paid. I made a new contract to rent to buy a side by side refrigerator, as my old frige finally just gave up the ghost.
The frigerator was delivered. And the bills was paid every month $114.00 per month. I did have a late day in January.
It was ppaid with a kind " Thank you" from the fella in the store.
In 1949 My fathers brothr and wife died in a house fire, and their daughter, my cousin was brought into our home and we was raised a sister more or less. We felt as sisters.
She died of Overian cancer, Feb 4th.
Our social security checks came in on the 3rd of Feb, I bought a airplane ticket to Stockton California. That was $ 500.11 for a round trop ticket.
My husband called me in Stocton, and said that he had called RAC and explained to them what had happened. He also told them that he would get his check on the 18th of the month, and could he pay the monthly payment in full then. The man said he would have to ask the manager, and get back to him, but thought it would be ok.

The following Saturday the manager called my husband and asked him if he could just pay $25 dollars for the week. My husband told the manager he did not have nothing left because of the death in the family. Again said that he could make the payment in full on the 18th 12 days away. The manager just told him that he would call Monday and set a time to pick up the refigeraton on that same Monday.

The fact that we had been good customers for 2 years never enterd the mans head, and the fact that a person had died.

If it comes to a $114.00 refigerator or my $500.11 dollar trip to say good byt to my family, the family is going to come first even if she is dead

I will continue paying the refrigerator bill till it is paid, but I will never see that so called" Friendly Smile" in the same way ever again.

It is just beyond me that a refrigerator means more then a
soul...
