Vulkon Entertainment - Genesis Productions Company takes your money, gives you nothing, then refuses refund

I purchased VIP tickets to a sci-fi convention in Columbus Ohio being run by Vulkon Entertainment. The tickets were purchased in February.

The convention was inexplicably, and without notice, "postponed" in March. Vulkon was hesitant to give a refund, stating that the convention had not been canceled, just postponed to later in the year. They asked that I let them hold my money until that time. I agreed and continued to monitor the site for announcements of a rescheduling.

In June I allowed them to roll my tickets to the Fall convention in Orlando, FL instead of waiting on a Columbus convention to be rescheduled. It took two weeks, several emails, and several forum posts for them to even acknowledge the change.

Less than two weeks before the Fall convention, they dropped the two main headliners (the stars canceled). I requested my money back rather than make a trip from Ohio to Florida to see the remaining few guests, none of whom were worth the VIP tickets I'd paid for. I was promised half of my money prior to the con and half afterward.

Despite repeated emailing and posting on the forums (they don't give out their phone number anymore, and didn't answer it back when they did), I have received nothing, not even a general response. I am owed $848. As of this date, November 11 the Columbus con has not been rescheduled. I have attended no convention, received no merchandise, and Vulkon still holds my money even after promising to refund it.
