Chicago Dawn Convention RIPOFF! LIED about mailing product. SCREWED 6 others! False promises. NO REFUNDS! Took money and ran!

Party offered 'Goody bags' (*mementos of Dawn Doll Convention that took place in Chicago October) for $25.00 apiece, to individuals that were unable to attend.

Money was collected 7 months PRIOR to convention date, as a reserve... I sent a PERSONAL CHECK that was cashed April 5.

The convention took place in October as scheduled, but no Goody Bag was sent. Repeated emails went unanswered.

Finally, I was told the bag was mailed. After another several weeks, nothing. MORE emails went unanswered, and finally, another reply saying there were still bags left to go into the mail. (*This was 2 weeks before Christmas 2001 - 2 months AFTER the convention)... Still nothing came..

January came and went with NO goody bag, and unanswered emails. THEN I discovered that 6 other people also received nothing, and most of THEIR emails had also went unanswered...

I received an email in February stating the bag had (once again) been mailed out... But nothing was ever received.

In MARCH, I received an email stating there were yet STILL bags to be mailed out and it would be going out 3rd class mail, and be received ANY day now. A refund was offered if product was not satisfactory, but NO PACKAGE WAS RECEIVED!

After contacting the other 6 people, NONE of them have gotten anything by this date in APRIL!! This has been going on now ONE year since my check was cashed by this person!

I have since been in contact with the post office, better business bureau of TX, and the Texas District Attorneys office... And am going to file complaints from all individuals involved to each office if something is not concluded SOON!!!
