False Promises regarding Seller's Credit / Never had intentions to deliver

Sales agent Rosanna Hong made promises for a seller's credit during the sales process. Her promise is the credit will be delivered to us, the buyers, as soon as escrow closes (Oct. 2007). When escrow closed, there was no contact with us. We followed up with her a week later and she said the credit will now come from her.

After not hearing from her for a few weeks, we contacted her again. This time, she came over with a check for the amount but said we couldn't cash it until the next year! (approx. 1 1/2 mos later) We also found out that this check came from the inspector she recommended to us prior to the purchase and she was a signer on the account.

Shortly after, the excuses of her personal problems began: including everything from her divorce problems to her being out of the country and her need to file bankruptcy. She then told us of a deal she was working on January that will earn her a large sum of commission and she would be able to give us the credit that was promised. Come February, she made no attemtps to contact us.

We again had to track her down. She again told us more of her personal problems. As caring people, we agreed to give her time to gather her life and finances together and also asked her to provide a Promissory Note, sating the full amount to be paid by Sept. 1st.

On August 27th, we left her a voice mail as a kind reminder of her obligations. No calls were returned. On Sept. 7th... A text was sent to her stating that legal actions will be sought. Only then did she return the call the folowing day saying she was " out of the country " After the phone conversation, she said she would get us the promised credit within 2 to 3 days. After 5 days, we had to follow up again! This time, she ignored our calls. We left another messgae and as of October, she never returned our calls or acknowledged the credit she promised during the sales process.

Legal aactions are now in process. She has since left Coldwell Banker / George Realty in Arcadia and now works with Dickson Podley in Pasadena on Lake Street. Avoid her and these company at all costs.

George Realty was made aware of her actions and they have not acknowledged anything. It makes consumers question what type of office will let this kind of behavior go unnoticed and not respond to consumer inquiries, especially in suck a regulated industry.

Avoid doing business with them, there are many more Realtors out there that are sincere and wouldn't lie to make a sale.
