O purchased a living room set from Yes Stores - Rent to Own in El Cajon, Ca.

I did not do the rent to own thing — I actually paid cash for this set because the guy gave us such a good deal.

When it was delivered, 2 or the three tables were damaged as well as the wood on the couch. The replacement tables came a few weeks later - one of those was damaged again. I gave the delievery guys a break by telling them they could combine the 2 "good" pieces of the table to make one that was not damaged and call it a day.

They sent a carpenter to "repair" the wood on the couch. When the guy came to "repair" the couch, he didnt have the correct tools.

I called the guy I bought the set from and he was very rude. He told me that it was my fault that the couch was not repaired yet? I told him what happened when the sent the carpenter out, and he told me he didnt believe anything I was saying, and he said that the guy has been doing repairs for him for 10 years and he has never had a complaint until me. He would not let me get a word in without talking over everything I would say. He also told me that he was sick and tired of me, because all I did was complain about a little scratch here and there — WOW. I didnt know HUGE GASHES of wood missing from a BRAND NEW $1500 living room set was considered a "little scratch"? I was under the impression when you buy something BRAND NEW — that you will get it in that condition?

After all was said and done, there is an appointment for him to finally come out this week. Hopefully it all works out, however given the longthy history I am not enthusiastic.

I would not recommend buying anything from this place — YES they will give you a good price, but it isnt worth it because you get ripped off in the long run. Buyers beware!!
