DHS Destroyed my life

I was beat up by my mother and kicked out of my house at 16 years old, for two months I lived with friends I worked and got money for school clothes and when school started I went everyday until one day my mom decided it was time for me to come home, she told me her medicaid was cut because I moved out and she needed surgery on her back. A police officer came to the house where I had been staying and said he was to take me home, I explained to him that I had not just ran away and that I had been beat up and kicked out by my mother two months ago, so I was allowed to stay there and I went and filed a petition for a day in court, DHS was called by the school, Denise Gibson a case worker, called my friends mom and made threats and said to send me home, my court date was in 3 days, the police said I did not have to go home and I did not have to listen to dhs.

Denise would show up at school everyday and try to take me back to my mother and when I told her what my mother had done she called me a spoiled brat and told me to stop lying. I went to court and was sent to a group foster home I had to change schools again my mother admitted to hitting me but said she didn't mean to, she failed her drug test, after court I was crying and hugging my friend and Denise said to me in my ear, kid you belong in a foster home. Well foster care sucks but it's better than home.
