Automobile training scam

I was invited to an interview with urgency, as were all of the other applicants. They interviewed for two days and asked us back for a three day intensive training. On the first day, half way through, they hit us all up for a fee of $698.00, there were 16 of us. I was sceptical but signed a paper that had wording very sly. We were told that we would be guaranteed to make $5,000.00 per month for the first three months and that after working for 90 days, we would be reimbursed for the class. The guy said that he guarenteed job placement for "life".

Was told that the HOST store was hiring. He was very slick to make certain that I did not read the paper before signing.

The terms of the contract read that - if you are not hired by the host store, you do not get paid back. - If you do not get hired by the host store you have no salary guarantees.

I opted to have my fees taken out of my paychecks @ six payments. Upon getting home after my training and interviews, I found on the paper that if I do not get hired or they cannot place me I still have to pay the payments!!!

I am very disheartened and feel ripped off. It has been a week and two days and I have had no job offers. I got a worthless certificate and a stupid booklet.

The instructor said the manager was "out sick" He said that he would be "out of town" the following week. He said that I should hear something within three days. When I called the company, they said give it two weeks.

Does any of this sound familiar to anyone out there?
