Toner scam

Today I got a call from Kevin saying that the cost of my toner for my copier has gone up $80.in order to keep my current price, he would keep 6 cartridges back for me if I placed an order today. He would have his assistant Michelle call me and then send me a fax to sign for approval.

When she called I said that I had checked and didn't need any toner at this time. Kevin immediately called me back and said that if I did not order I would lose my current price. This sounded fishy to me, after I received the fax from Michelle to approve the order, I did a little investigating.

I could not find their company name anywhere in our files or history. However I did find a sheet from Central Supply Warehouse that was exactly the same order form, just a different company. I thought very strange!

I got online and tried to google both companies and found nothing, in the mean time you guessed it, Kevin was already calling me back. He thought they had missed my fax, I told him no I did not fax anything. I asked him why they had two different names and he avoided that question. Then I asked if the company was bought out. He still avoided the question and insisted that I fax my order for approval over.

Just as I got off the phone with him, which I might add came up as a private #, I looked at my google report and there it was, the rip off report.

I called my supervisor and she said yes, they had tried to scam her in May. Just for fun, I'm going to call their so called phone # on the order form. Call can not be completed, how convenient.

Anyways, I faxed canceled in large black print on their order and have washed my hands with them. Be careful, they can get your information fast and easy!!
