Good luck with billing and using your phone in Mexico

We are traveling to Mexico and would like to use our phone there. I called about two weeks ago and was told there is a plan $4.99 a month and. 59 cents a minute, or if no plan. 99 cents a minute. I call back and I am told that it would ba a good idea to keep the 4.99 charge on for at least two billing cycles because the billing could come in after the month and then I would be charged. 99 cents per minute.

What a rip off That makes no sense if I am making the call durng the month I paid 4.99 then I should be billed at that rate. I feel this is double dipping and I am lucky that they told me about this before I said yes. So i call back again and ask about a Mexico plan and am told it is 4.99 and. 79 cents. Hello what about. 59 cents a minute. Oh that is our world plan which would includes Mexico but you only asked me for Mexico so that is what I quoted you. SO basicaly a way to make. 20 cents more a minute from the consumers.

Now how do I dial from Mexico just dial 001 and the phone number No country code I ask. No. Sounds a little fishy to me so I call back again and guess what you need a country code. I feel they are double billing they offer a service during a certain period but to get the cheaper rate you are paying more out of your pocket.
